In an exclusive interview with WSSM Pressure 23 Radio, Jirus Horton opens up about his musical journey, inspirations, and creative process. Jirus Horton is a musician from Birmingham, Alabama, specifically the east side near Huffman Road. He's lived there all his life, except for a brief period in Ohio. Jirus credits his older brother, a musician himself, for sparking his passion for music. His brother's R&B music at A&M influenced Jirus' style, and their collaborations shaped his artistic vision. Jirus has collaborated with his brother, but they haven't released any joint projects due to his brother's comfort level. 

Jirus describes his music as diverse, covering love, heartbreak, and relationships. Others describe his music as "sexual" and "timeless," appealing to various age groups.  His songs, like "Let Me Hold You," showcase his ability to craft timeless, relatable lyrics. Interestingly, Jirus never writes lyrics beforehand, instead building songs from melodies in the studio. Jirus shared the story behind his song "Let Me Hold You," which was written a year ago and later reworked with producer Hood Zone. 

When asked about how he feels about the impact the internet has on the music industry he smiled. Jirus stated social media has both positive and negative effects on the music industry. While it provides opportunities, it also creates "one-hit wonders" and waters down the talent pool. Jirus focuses solely on the music, avoiding gimmicks and viral stunts. His manager, Maurice Lynn, emphasizes keeping the marketing strategy professional and substance-driven. His experience in entrepreneurship as he is the owner of Mad Jacked Clothing, was proven to class is timeless & poised for continued success. 

Jirus Horton's authenticity, talent, and dedication to his craft make him a compelling figure in the R&B scene. As he continues to create meaningful music, his longevity in the industry is all but assured.
