GGE DEE is an American Rapper/Big Stepper from Birmingham, Alabama. Music has always been a part of Dee’s life.  Dee was born with a music note on his heart. As a kid, he would learn songs and perform them like they were his own. Dee, a trapper by trade, was asked during this interview, what inspires you to keep pursuing rap? The streets are treacherous in Birmingham, what inspired you to seek a different path? He stated, “My OG Silkk Jones to be honest. It was like he was the only person that believed in me. He felt that I was much more than a street dude trying to rap. I most definitely did not get any recognition from other rappers. I strive to be different. My style is different from most rappers; I have my own style.”  He shared several heartfelt moments on his relationship with his mentor, Label Executive and Rapper Silkk Jones. Smiling he stated, “I remember my Og played one of my songs in the club and the crowd rocked out. That is when I realize music was the way for me. It also solidified what I already felt to be true, Silkk Jones is a real standup guy. It is not too many of those left out here.”  

GGE Dee’s music is energetic, crisp, direct, creative, and militant, an all-around vibe. His creative process is simple, he freestyle & just goes wherever the beat takes him “I don’t try to be like ANYBODY, I’m myself always whether I have $100,000 or $100.”
